What is Know Your IBM (KYI)?

Know Your IBM (KYI) is a Business Partner incentive offering for sellers and technical sellers who nurture first-in-enterprise client opportunities, and drive sales of IBM Storage, Power and Technology Lifecycle Services products.

How can I earn KYI Rewards?
(1) Propose and Earn - Qualifying individuals can earn valuable KYI reward points for organizing pre-sales activities such as scheduling meetings, performing assessments, proof of concepts (POC’s), demonstrations, trial, benchmark with First-in-Enterprise IBM end clients.
(2) Sell and Earn - Qualifying individuals can earn valuable KYI reward points for making end client sales of eligible products as shown under the Eligible Product Table. Earn more for selling into a first-in-enterprise Storage or Power client.

NOTE: Know Your IBM incentives are only available for Tier 2 Sellers and Technical Sellers.

IBM Storage Incentives

Sell and Earn

Earn up to $15,000 when selling IBM Storage FlashSystem to First-in-Enterprise* end clients.
Earn $1,000 for every $10,000 USD in IBM Storage Defender sold to a First-in-Enterprise* end client.
Earn up to $15,000 when selling Storage-as-a-Service (STaaS) to a First-in-Enterprise* end client.

Propose and Earn
Earn $250 USD for meeting, earn an additional $250 USD for scheduling an assessment. (EMEA, APAC, Latin America)
Earn $100 USD for performing a SAN Health Assessment against a clients current environment.

*First in Enterprise for FlashSystem is defined as those who have not purchased FlashSystem (including prior generations) on or after January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2023. First in Enterprise for Defender is defined as those who have not purchased Defender, Storage Protect or Storage Suite (including prior generations) on or after January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2023.

Sell and Earn
Earn up to $5,000 when selling IBM Power Scale-out to First-in-Enterprise* end clients.
Earn up to $15,000 for selling IBM Power Modernization solutions, and up to $20,000 for selling Power VS solutions.

Propose and Earn
In 2024 individuals can earn KYI points for conducting the following types of pre-sales activities with First in Enterprise Power clients:
Demos, PoXs, Benchmarks, Workshops, Assessments, Client Engineering and Center of Excellence Engagements.
*Power VS: Individuals can earn $600 USD in KYI reward points for pre-sales activities.
*SAP, Red Hat, OpenSource DB: Individuals can earn $500 USD in KYI reward points for pre-sales activities.
*AI on Power: Individuals can earn $800 USD in KYI reward points for pre-sales activities.

*FIE Power Client is defined as an entity that has no Power9 or Power10 systems installed as indicated by IBM’s install base data.

IBM Technology Lifecycle Services (NEW in 2024)

New in 2024! You can now earn up to 10,000 USD in KYI rewards points for selling IBM Technology Lifecycle Services offerings! While your client saves, you can earn:
· 2,000 USD when shifting your client's support for Oracle services to IBM.
· 100 USD per contract by adding Microsoft support.
· 20 USD per serial number for Power and Storage Premium services.
· 100 USD per contract by bundling-in project-based Services.
