PT Synnex Metrodata Indonesia Signs Distribution Agreement with Devo Technology
JAKARTA, Indonesia, 15 November 2024 – PT Synnex Metrodata Indonesia (“SMI”), a company that focuses on Distribution of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT), announced today that it has signed a distribution agreement with Devo Technology (“Devo”), the security data analytics company, to deliver its security solutions in Indonesia.
Business in Indonesia are facing major cybersecurity challenges due to the increasing number of cyberattacks and data theft. Many organisations tend to focus on the security of their networks and endpoints, but are unable to look at their overall security posture. This leaves organisations with under-resourced teams especially vulnerable to visibility gaps. Therefore, the best solution for organisations is to put forward a Security Operations Center (SOC) to improve their overall security posture, including better visibility, improved response time, and improved resource allocation.
As an Authorized Distributor, SMI has strategic added value for Indonesia in expanding and strengthening cybersecurity, especially for the SOC. Offering the Devo Security Data Platform will target all industry lines and segments by emphasizing how important it is for SOCs to provide detailed insights into an organisation’s security posture and respond to incidents in a timely manner. The Devo Security Data Platform components such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR), and User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) have advantages: the cloud-based SIEM gives organisations a singular view of their risk posture, security operations, and threat detection. It can also correlate data from various sources such as cloud, hybrid and on-premise security environments. SOAR uses AI-powered playbooks and decision automation to proactively protect organisations from outside threats. UEBA can identify anomalous activities by employing an extensive library of AI models to detect unusual behaviors and quantify risks to streamline investigations.
Devo was recently recognized as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape Worldwide SIEM for Enterprise 2024 Vendor Assessment. Together, SMI and Devo will help organisations unleash the potential of their SOC by achieving unmatched visibility so security teams can quickly pinpoint and thwart threat actor actions with full context and precision. To meet local data residency requirements, Devo has also established a data storage capability in Indonesia.
PT Synnex Metrodata Indonesia has an extensive network of resellers and partners in Indonesia. “As a Future-proof Technology Distribution Company, we are delighted to announce our partnership with Devo Technology as the official authorized distributor in Indonesia, strengthening our cyber security portfolio, especially SOC. Devo is the answer for replacing traditional SIEMs, using AI and automation technology to investigate and counter threats, helping SOCs work faster and smarter. Devo already has the market share and technology, so we will help business partners enter the market,” said Lie Heng, Director of PT Synnex Metrodata Indonesia.
“We are excited to have PT Synnex Metrodata Indonesia join our Devo Drive partner program and support them as they empower their customers to defend their organisations,” said Nicky Choo, APAC General Manager at Devo. “As the global threat landscape continues to expand at an unprecedented pace, it’s critical that companies like Devo and PT Synnex Metrodata Indonesia partner to bring the best security innovations to organisations, giving them the necessary technology to combat threats.”
